  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained (optional)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes (for topping)

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted (for toppin


Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it’s ready when you are!

2. Mix the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine:

  • Shredded chicken

  • Cream of chicken soup

  • Cream of mushroom soup

  • Sour cream

  • Mayonnaise

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Mix everything until smooth and creamy.

3. Add the Noodles (and Tomatoes, Optional!)

  • Gently fold in the cooked and drained egg noodles.

  • If you’re using diced tomatoes, add them now.

  • Stir just until combined—don’t overmix to keep the noodles intact.

4. Assemble the Casserole

  • Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  • Spread the mixture evenly in the dish.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.

5. Add the Crunchy Topping

  • In a small bowl, combine crushed cornflakes with melted butter.

  • Sprinkle this mixture over the casserole for a crispy, golden finish.

6. Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.

7. Serve & Enjoy!

 

  • Let it cool for a few minutes.
