Tzatziki Chicken Pizza

  • Author: Eliana
  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 2 individual pizzas 1x

Description

A Mediterranean-inspired pizza featuring crispy naan bread topped with creamy tzatziki, tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and tangy feta cheese. This fusion dish combines Greek and Italian flavors for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 naan breads
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place naan breads on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. This creates a crispy base and prevents the bread from becoming soggy when topped with tzatziki.
  2. Assemble the Pizza: Spread tzatziki sauce evenly over each naan bread, leaving a small border around the edges. Distribute the shredded chicken evenly over the sauce, followed by cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion slices, arranging them for even coverage.
  3. Add Seasoning & Cheese: Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over all the toppings. Season with dried oregano, salt, and pepper to enhance the Mediterranean flavors throughout the pizza.
  4. Bake the Pizza: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the naan edges are crispy and golden, and the toppings are heated through. The cheese should be slightly melted but still maintain its shape.
  5. Finish & Garnish: Remove the pizzas from the oven and drizzle with additional tzatziki sauce for extra creaminess. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before slicing and serving for a pop of color and fresh flavor.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Greek seasonings before cooking.
  • Tzatziki can be homemade or store-bought. If making homemade, strain the yogurt for a thicker sauce that won’t make the pizza soggy.
  • This pizza is best served immediately after baking for optimal texture.
  • For a spicier version, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before baking.
