Description

A luxuriously creamy pie featuring a perfect balance of smooth cream cheese filling and crunchy pecans, enhanced with a touch of maple syrup for a rich, satisfying dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (9 inches in diameter)
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Bake the pie crust according to package directions until golden brown. Place it on a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before adding the filling.
  2. Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is completely smooth and no lumps remain, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Whip the Cream: In a separate clean bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Whip it using an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. The cream should hold its shape when the beaters are lifted.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a rubber spatula. Use a folding motion rather than stirring to maintain the airiness of the whipped cream.
  5. Add Flavorings: Add the brown sugar, 1 cup of the chopped pecans, maple syrup, and salt to the cream cheese mixture. Fold gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  6. Fill the Crust: Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust, using a spatula to spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of chopped pecans over the top of the pie.
  7. Chill and Set: Cover the pie loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. This allows the filling to set properly and the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider toasting the pecans before adding them to the filling.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is properly softened to avoid lumps in your filling.
  • The pie can be made up to 2 days in advance and kept refrigerated.
  • For a decorative touch, drizzle additional maple syrup over the pie before serving.
  • If you prefer a homemade crust, a graham cracker or shortbread crust works wonderfully with this filling.
