Ingredients

Scale

For the noodles:

  • 12 oz linguine (or any pasta of your choice)

For the steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or ribeye for extra tenderness)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the garlic butter sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Fresh parsley or basil
  • Extra grated Parmesan
  • A squeeze of lemon for brightness

Instructions

1. Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Sear the Steak

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the steak with salt and black pepper.
  • Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for a medium-rare cook (adjust cooking time for your desired doneness).
  • Remove the steak from the skillet, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain.

3. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir in Parmesan, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

4. Toss the Noodles

  • Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss well to coat in the creamy garlic butter sauce.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to loosen it.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Plate the noodles and top with sliced steak.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley, extra Parmesan, or a squeeze of lemon for added brightness.
  • Serve immediately while warm and enjoy every flavorful bite!
