Ingredients
For the Brownies:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
For the Topping:
1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
Prepare the Brownies: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
Make the Batter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add sugar and whisk until combined. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely in the pan.
Add the Strawberries: Once cooled, evenly arrange the halved strawberries over the brownies.
Make the Ganache: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
Assemble: Pour the ganache over the strawberries, spreading it to cover the surface.
Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set the ganache. Use the parchment overhang to lift the brownies out of the pan, then cut into squares.
